OR fires are considered “never events,” but even with practice advisories in place and training for OR staff, they continue to be a threat in the perioperative setting. Adapting to Survive

As I write this piece, it’s mid-January and blustery here in upstate New York. We celebrated a new year since our last issue, saying farewell to 2022. It was another challenging year, marked by the desire to “get back to normal” in our work but still severely challenged by the ramifications of the pandemic.
